Nagpur News : Vritika Game is State Women Chess Champion

Nagpur News : 14 year old Vritika Krushna Game won the H2e Maharashtra State Women’s FIDE Rating Selection Chess Championship held at Vasai, Palghar from 15thNovember 2025 to 17th November 2025. The event was organised by Palghar District Chess Association under the aegis of Maharashtra Chess Association to select the Maharashtra State Women Team for participation in Womens National Championship. 

Though, only 14-Yr-Old, Vritika showed her class to beat all her opponents to score 8 points out of 8 to remain unbeaten with a lead of 2 point over her nearest rival. In an event which attracted 45 women players from all over Maharashtra, the entire event was dominated by Vritika.

On her way to Title, she won against Srushti Joshirao-Kolhapur, Vanshri Punekar-Thane, Sharvari Kabnurkar-Kolhapur, 2nd seed WCM Kriti Patel-Mumbai City, Prisha Margaj-Mumbai Suburban, Prisha Gholap-Nashik, Pranita Bhava and Mansi Tilekar-Pune. The urge for win can be judged from the fact that inspite of having assured of title with one round to spare, she played a fierce game to win the last round too against Mansi Tilekar Pune to win the last round game to finish with 100% score in the event.
