Nagpur News : Nagpur Institute of Technology, Nagpur recently organized two days International Conference on Futuristic Trends in Engineering Science and Technology (ICFTEST 2024).

Distinguished Chief Guests, Dr. Milind Atrey, Professor and Dean (R&D) at IIT Bombay, and Dr. Karthik Ramesh, Founder and CEO of Sentinel AI ML Labs and Professor at BITS Pilani, inaugurated the event with their esteemed presence, marking the commencement of the conference. In his inaugural speech, Dr. Milind Atrey stressed the importance of

collaborative efforts in driving innovation and evolving challenges in engineering and technology. Dr. Karthik Ramesh highlighted the significance of research and emerging technologies and encouraged scholars to actively engage in an increasing number of research endeavors. Dr. Amol Deshmukh, Principal NIT, General Chair of the conference made an introductory remark.

The Conference Souvenir was released by the hands of dignitaries on this occasion. The conference received a total of 250 research papers from various regions across India and abroad, of which 177 were presented. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Saxena, Professor, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab and Dr. Shankar Sehgal, Professor, Punjab University, Chandigarh graced as chief guests during the Valedictory Ceremony. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Saxena discussed research methodologies in technology, while Dr. Shankar Sehgal addressed emerging trends in Engineering and Technology. Dr. Pon Selvan from Curtin University, Dubai, Prof. Firdoz from Zurich University, Switzerland, and Dr. Md Siddiqui from King Saud University, Riyadh, also delivered keynote addresses. Best Research Paper Awards were given during the Valedictory Ceremony. Dr. Jagdish Chaudhari, Dean Academics and the General Chair of the conference and Prof. Samrat Kavishwar delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Sonika Kochhar, Dr. M. Sabir and Prof. Hitaishi Chauhan conducted the proceedings. Prof. Samrat Kavishwar and Dr. Ashish Fande, Technical Chair of the conference, HODs and team NIT exerted painstaking efforts to ensure the success of the event.
