NAGPUR NEWS : The karate team of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) secured a bronze medal at the All India Inter-University Competition held at Dibrugarh University in Assam.
The team was felicitated by Vice-Chancellor Dr Manali Kshirsagar at the Jamnalal Bajaj Administrative Building. The event was attended by Registrar Dr Raju Hiwase, Finance and Accounts Officer Harish Paliwal, Director of Sports and Physical Education Dr Sambhaji Bhosale, Director of Knowledge Source Centre Dr Vijay Khandal, and others.
Karatekas Manas Raut, Manish Narvekar, Akshat Dharamthok, Ayush Patharabe, and Hrithik Mudaliar—who secured third place in the individual kumite (75 kg) category—were honoured during the ceremony. The team was managed by Dr Zakir Khan, with Jagdish Mankar serving as the men’s team coach, while women’s team coach Vaidehi Shende was also felicitated.
