Nagpur News : Panic gripped the busy Golibar Chowk area in Nagpur early Saturday morning after a fire broke out at a biryani shop and rapidly spread to nearby establishments. The blaze intensified during firefighting operations when a gas cylinder exploded, creating panic among local residents and shopkeepers.
According to preliminary information, the fire erupted in the early hours and quickly engulfed adjoining shops due to the presence of inflammable material. Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot and launched an intensive operation to bring the flames under control.
During the operation, a cooking gas cylinder exploded with a loud blast, causing panic in the surrounding area. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. Fire brigade personnel also escaped unharmed despite the risky situation.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Authorities are assessing the extent of the damage caused to the affected shops.
